Cusanuswerk
Catholic, committed and good at your studies – then you may be eligible for the Cusanuswerk study grant. The Cusanuswerk is the Catholic Church's organisation for the promotion of gifted students in Germany. The Cusanuswerk promotes and supports particularly talented Catholic students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines financially and ideally through a comprehensive educational programme.
The requirements include: outstanding professional performance, interdisciplinary interest, a strong sense of responsibility for society and the common good, voluntary commitment, the ability to reflect and a Christian attitude.
Applicants are nominated for funding by their school, university lecturers or former scholarship holders. Catholic students of all disciplines can apply as long as they have at least 5 semesters of study ahead of them (exception: four-semester Master's degree starts in the next winter semester), as well as high school graduates who will begin their first degree at a state-recognised university, TH, FH or PH. The Cusanuswerk also offers funding for music and artists and supports (prospective) doctoral students.
The current application deadlines, requirements and further information can be found at www.cusanuswerk.de.
As a Catholic university community, we co-operate with the Cusanuswerk.
If you apply for a scholarship, we will prepare the university pastoral report for you during the application process.

The KAAD is the scholarship organisation of the German Catholic Church that enables students from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Near and Middle East and Eastern and South-Eastern Europe to study or conduct research at universities or equivalent institutions in Germany.
Master's and doctoral students with good subject knowledge who are already studying at a college or university in Osnabrück can apply for the KAAD Scholarship Programme 2 via the Catholic University Community (KHG) or are recommended for a scholarship by the KHG.

Prerequisites include an interest in development policy, intercultural and interreligious issues, an orientation of the programme towards later reintegration in the home country and knowledge of the German language at least at communication level.
