This year we would like to participate again in the Johannesfeuer of the parish of Christus König.
What can you expect? This is what the church says in its invitation:

Six months before Christmas, John the Baptist celebrates his birthday. A fire has been lit on his feast day since time immemorial. Why? Perhaps because John told the people of his time: If you can no longer see any light because everything is just dark with you, then trust in Jesus, the Son of God. He will bring light into your darkness! After the Feast of St. John, the nights grow longer again, very slowly, step by step, before Jesus, the Light of the World, is born on the darkest night of the year. We invite you to a small service in the church. It will be about the dark. And the light. About fear and courage. And the strength to make a new start. Afterwards, we will light the bonfire in the courtyard. There will be grilled sausages and cool drinks on a hopefully balmy summer night!

At 9 pm it will start at Heilig Geist church .
We will meet at 8.30 pm at KHG and will then -with nice weather -cycle to Haste.
